Die proprietäre Protokolle basieren auf denen des XNS. Das in der Anwendungsschicht verwendete StreetTalk verwaltet die Namen für alle Ressourcen des Netzwerkes. Die Namen sind dreiteilig nach dem Format Name@Gruppe@Organisation aufgebaut.
